2. Saturate the Nib with Ink: Shake the wood burning pen to mix the ink. Press the refill until the nib is saturated, ensuring the ink flows freely for an even application.

3. Outline Your Design: Use a stencil for precision or draw freehand on the wood. Apply a shallow layer of ink to outline your design, serving as a guide for the burning process.

4. Heat the Wood: Use a heat gun rated at 1500 watts or higher (set to at least 460°F). Keep the heat source moving over the design to prevent burning too deeply.

5. Achieve Your Desired Effect: Continue heating until you achieve the desired shading and texture for your design. Be mindful of your speed and distance from the wood to control the burning effect.

6. Seal Your Artwork: Once your design is complete and cooled, apply an oil-based coating to protect it from fading and enhance durability. Allow it to dry completely before handling.
